A Spirit’s Last Gift by Kathy-Lynn Cross

A Spirit’s Last Gift Spotlight & Review

A young adult paranormal winter-themed novella

Today I’m sharing Kathy-Lynn Cross’s winter novella, A Spirit’s Last Gift. I love seasonal reads and thought you might enjoy this fun yet touching story as well.

Synopsis

High school senior, Juslynn, has  a huge problem. She’s in love with her best friend, Carter. He has no clue of her feelings and asks her to attend the Snow Flurry Dance with him, as friends. Should she keep their relationship in the friend zone or should she be honest with him? I’m not going to give away any spoilers, but let’s just say the evening doesn’t end as planned.

Juslynn slips on the ice leaving the dance and wakes up to find she’s dead. Oh, and she has a demon friend whose job it is to make sure she doesn’t move on. Can Juslynn let go of her worldly life or is she bound to roam the earth with her demonic friend forever?

My review – 4*

Kathy-Lynn Cross shows yet again that is great at writing characters and stories that are creative, transfixing, and poignant. I didn’t warm up to Juslynn immediately but by the end of the story, she won me over. I loved this unique take on the paranormal and all the surprises in the book.
