Romance Character of the Week, Isaac from Perfect & Perfect Always
If you’re following my HOTW (Hottie of the Week), then you’ll remember that last week I featured Adam. Adam is Chloe’s high school boyfriend, only son of a horse breeder in their small home town in middle Kentucky. And you’ll know that the novel Perfect, is sort of an odd bird. Perfect Part I opens with a scene featuring Chloe, the MC, and her roommate, Bree. Chloe complains to Bree that see misses Adam horribly. And then, wham, he’s there, in the hallway of their apartment, on one knee with a ring! Should Chloe marry him?
FYI: I don’t feel bad about this spoiler. Because, literally, it’s on page two.
In Part II of Perfect, we open with the same scene. Sounds confusing, right? But wait for it! Chloe chooses a different path for her life, meeting Isaac that very night. He’s sweet, personable, and above all, a gentleman. Sounds too good to be true right? But he’s also a bit awkward, he is 6’5″, after all. Chloe and Isaac’s next meetup is in their business class, then in a book store where things get even more uncomfortable. But eventually his charm and warm with win Chloe over. I mean how could they not?
We learn Isaac is from Chicago and has wanted to be a basketball player all his life. He plays first string on their university team and hopes to join the NBA after college. Chloe finds herself drawn to the excitement of his schedule with a trip to Chicago for a professional basketball game. She’s always dreamed of living in a big city and Isaac seems to fit perfectly into that picture of her life. Could Isaac be her forever perfect love?
This July Perfect is free on Smashwords or can be found on Apple, B&N, or Amazon here in this alternate ending, choose who Chloe marries, romance.
Happy reading!
