6 Romantic Halloween Movies
This week I’ve combined my favorite genres, romance and fantasy, with my favorite 6 Romantic Halloween Movies list. Usually the Halloween season is all about fantasy and horror but I didn’t want to ignore my romantic side. Plus, I always want a bit of a love story in whatever I’m watching or reading. And to be honest, I’m a scaredy cat. Can’t watch horror or psycho thrillers. This list is in no particular order but they’re all movies I could watch over and over again. From YA to a bit steamier I hope romance lovers with love these selections.
Warm Bodies
I loved this sweet and quirky romance from beginning to end. After a highly unusual zombie saves a still-living girl from an attack, the two form a relationship that sets in motion events that might transform the entire lifeless world.
Kiss of the Damned
The vampire Djuna resists the advances of Paolo, but soon gives in to their passion. When her trouble-making sister unexpectedly comes to visit, Djuna’s love is threatened, and the whole vampire community becomes endangered.
Underworld
Selene, a vampire warrior, is entrenched in a conflict between vampires and werewolves, while falling in love with Michael, a human who is sought by werewolves for unknown reasons.
Edward Scissorhands
Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder star in this classic sweet story. An artificial man, who was incompletely constructed and has scissors for hands, leads a solitary life. Then one day, a suburban lady meets him and introduces him to her world.
Twilight
If you follow me then you know I’m a huge vampire fan thus all the vampire movie selections. And the Twilight series is a definite front runner. When Bella Swan moves to a small town in the Pacific Northwest, she falls in love with Edward Cullen, a mysterious classmate who reveals himself to be a 108-year-old vampire.
Bram Stoker’s Dracula
This movie is one of my all time favorites. The directing, acting, setting, characters, I love everything about it. And Winona Ryder, Keanu Reeves, and Gary Oldman. You can’t get much better. The centuries old vampire Count Dracula comes to England to seduce his barrister Jonathan Harker’s fiancée Mina Murray and inflict havoc in the foreign land.
