Realm Chronicles World

The Realm Chronicles World began with the idea for a character, a young fae princess named Titania and today I’m talking all things Realm Chronicles world. From the setting, land forms, people, technology, and rules, I’m descending into all things Realm Chronicles world.
Realm Chronicles World Physical Land
In the Realm Chronicles world our Earth that we live on, the ground us humans inhabit in modern day times, is “Upper Earth” or the “Human Realm.” But tucked just underneath our bedrock is a land most humans don’t know exists, the “Fae Realm” in “Middle Earth.” Heaven exists above Upper Earth forming the Creator’s space, or Heaven, and Lower Earth, the space inhabited by dark beings, Sheol, below Middle Earth. The fae, or fairies, occupy Middle Earth.
The land forms of Middle Earth copy that of Upper Earth with the same continents formed of the Earth’s bedrock. The climate, although somewhat darker and cooler than Upper Earth, mimics each areas Upper Earth counterpart.
Faerie rings create openings between Middle Earth and Upper Earth as well as Middle Earth and Lower Earth. The fae rely on these rings for sunshine and rain from Upper Earth. The rings are controlled by a set of twelve special crystals that allow fae to open and close the rings. When open, the fae, other beings, and souls can pass through the rings into the other realms. Fae close the rings when threatened. Fae beings freely pass back and forth through the rings when approved by the Ring Keepers, but seldom do. If a fae consumes a meal or stays in the Human Realm for more than a day they lose the ability to return to the fae realm, their wings fall from their backs, and their fae powers wane over time. Physical beings that pass through the rings into the Fae Realm do not have this grace period. They will be unable to return to the Human Realm.
The fae can see and hear everything that happens in our world when these rings are open. Each kingdom in the fae realm has at least one ring passage to Upper and Lower Earth, and usually has multiple passages to allow light and rain from Upper Earth to sustain their flora, fauna, crops, and livestock. If the rings are compromised or if they are closed for too long, lack of sunshine and rain from above will jeopardize fae livelihood.

Realm Chronicles World Beings
The fae, fairy type beings, are the principal occupants of the fae realm. Fae believe they are descended from angels and were created to protect humans from evil spirits housed in Sheol. The fae of the Realm Chronicles world have wings and can fly, and often do. They lack our human modern technology including things like electricity and computer or telephone technology opting for a simpler life. In the Fae Realm the fae are much like humans. They farm, growing their own crops and livestock for food. In villages different craftspeople produce fabrics, metal pieces, and baked goods.
The fae seldom get sick but their lifespans are only about fifty years. Once in the human realm, the fae possess strength, extra sensory hearing and sight, much like vampires, and in addition are able to know other beings thoughts. They are also able to morph their bodies into any form, even becoming invisible to other beings.
Over time other beings, either from Lower Earth or Upper Earth have attempted to invade and Middle Earth, aiming to inhabit it themselves. These include goblins, ogres, kobold, and even the merfolk. But the fae fended them off securing their realm for themselves. Because the fae believe they are of the creator they do not trust beings not created by the Creator like goblins, ogres, vampires, werewolves, merfolk, and other shape shifters.

Realm Chronicles World Beginning
The Realm Chronicles novel series was inspired by an image of a hunched fae or fairy. I’ve shared the image below. The expression on the fae girl’s face captivated me driving me to create her world and her story. Next week I’ll share more about Princess Titania, her story, and the fae of her realm.
To find all the Realm Chronicles books, visit the series page here. The first in the series, To be a Fae Queen, is just 99 cents in ebook. The books can also be found in Kindle Unlimited and Audible, and the series finale releases July 29, 2025.
Happy reading and happy listening!
