Four Names YA Fantasy

Hi! Today I’m highlighting the Four Names of Fortune YA fantasy anthology cover reveal and pre-order announcement. I’m excited that I was chosen to participate in this anthology that is in its fourth year! The anthology benefits reading and literacy charities and each year has featured themes associated with the number of the year. The first year featured stories with a theme of one, 2nd, two, 3rd, three, and this fourth year, each story has a theme of four. In addition to the number theme each author chooses a character from a fantasy character generator page to include in their stories.

All the stories are short, being about five-thousand words long, and are in the young adult fantasy and fairy tale genres. There were several choices offered from the character generator and I chose Congalie Palelocks, Governor of the Bone Plains. It seems like fate that this character was on my list as it fit perfectly with my trinity witches quest of finding a dead witch’s remains. I’ll give you more details about my short story below after introducing the anthology.

Authors include: Marie Reed (Author), Ashley Steffenson (Author), Meadoe Hora (Author), Eurelia Winters (Author), Kristin Harley (Author), Astrid V.J. (Author), Donna White (Author), M.S. Weaver (Author), B. Luna Covello (Author), C.L. Cannon (Author), L.S Wolf, and many more!

From the back cover…

Once upon a time, a fairytale name generator spun a fourth challenge to a band of intrepid authors. This time, the wheel of fate turned fourfold, bringing new legends and adventures.

In this enchanting clean YA anthology, venture into tales where fate and fortune intertwine. Each story is a journey into the unknown, where magic, mystery, and adventure await. From quests filled with ghostly encounters, time loops that offer fourth chances, battles against ancient curses, and enchanted forests with hidden secrets, unlikely heroes emerge, and prophecies unfold in unexpected ways.

Whether it’s siblings reuniting to save a kingdom, witches on a perilous mission, or fairytale elements reimagined in fresh and exciting ways, these characters face trials that test their courage and shape their destinies.

Prepare to be charmed by this collection of fantastical tales by award-winning and up-and-coming authors, and transported to realms where fortune favors the brave!

More about my story, Quest of the Realm Defenders, in Four Names of Fortune

Quest of the Realm Defenders by Tricia Copeland, a short story in the Realm Chronicles series.

The trinity witches have a problem. Sonia, an evil Archangel, threatens Earth’s destruction if she doesn’t get what she wants. Now Alena, Camille, Hunter, and Jude are in a race against time to find Hunter’s father’s remains in the dark abyss of Sheol.

Can the four convince the Governor of the Bone Plains to hand him over before it’s too late?

Find out in Quest of the Realm Defenders, a short story in the Realm Chronicles series. This short story fits into the story line of the Realm Chronicles series during the 4th book of the Realm Chronicles series, as yet untitled, releasing 9/21/2204. In the story we find the trinity witches, Alena, Camille, and Hunter, along with one of their heralds, Jude, all from the Kingdom Journals series, tasked with finding Hunter’s father’s remains. Congalie Palelocks, Governor of the Bone Plains, says she knows where they are, but she’s not handing them over so easily.

I can’t wait for everyone to read my short story, Quest of the Realm Defenders, along with all the other young adult fantasy and fairy tale stories.
