Witch of the Week – Jude

Witch of the Week – Jude of Kingdom of Honor

Jude in Kingdom of Honor YA urban fantasy

We first met Jude in Kingdom of Darkness, the second book of the Kingdom Journals young adult urban fantasy series. Jude, like last week’s witch of the week, Camille, attended the camp to help with mental health issues. He too suffered from episodes of hallucinations, seeing people and hearing voices that aren’t there. In Kingdom of Darkness, he revealed to Camille that he can perform magic. Dr. Antos, their so-called psychologist, helped Jude learn he is a witch. His hallucinations prompted him to discover his witch heritage.

In Kingdom of Darkness, Camille wasn’t sure she could trust Jude or Dr. Antos. Were they working together to lure her into a trap? But when Camille learned her father was missing, she decided to travel to Italy with Dr. Antos and Jude to seek answers. In Italy, at the castle compound used as a headquarters for Michael’s coven, Camille and Jude trained to develop their magic. But we still weren’t sure of Jude’s alliances.

I never intended for Jude to develop into such a pivotal character in this series. But he did and he rose to the occasion, playing a vital role in the trinity’s hunt for the lance that is prophesied to break an age old curse. The trinity of witches, Alena, Camille, and Hunter, were fated to break the curse that damns witch souls to purgatory forever. Jude could become a herald to Camille and aid the trinity in their quest. Or he may be an agent for Michael’s coven who were bent on never seeing the curse broken.

Nonetheless in Kingdom of Honor, Jude poured all his energy into finding a way to rescue Camille from Michael’s coven. He and her father found Alena and Hunter and attempted to free Camille. And an even bigger mystery awaited Jude as he began to learn his heritage and his father’s role. Does he become a true herald and champion for the trinity or does his alliances lie elsewhere?

Find out in Kingdom of Honor, Volume 3, Jude’s Story of the Kingdom Journals. You can listen to Kingdom of Honor on audiobook or read in ebook or paperback.

Happy reading and listening! Tricia
