King Oberon of To be a Fae Queen, YA fantasy

Not only will Titania be the first female Queen of her Kingdom but of the whole Fae realm. King Oberon’s character plaus the part of Titania’s father. A loving parent, King Oberon Alphaeaus shelters Titania from many of his kingdom’s challenges. He also protects and isolates her in their castle. This may be primarily because an army of evil creatures from Lower Earth, the kobold, killed all three of Titania’s brothers, one right before her eyes. We learn in To be a Fae Queen (small spoiler alert) that her mother, a Seer, perhaps Sorceress, or Demigoddess, featured here last week, foresees Titania’s death at the hands of the kobold.

Like several of Titania’s trusted elders, King Oberon shows he is not above scheming behind his daughter’s back, especially when it comes to the stability of their kingdom. We also find that he’s been hiding information about Titania’s mother as well. Can Titania trust her father to guide her along the correct path? Or must Titania find others to put her faith in? And who might those fae be? A distant cousin from a kingdom lying to the north? An eager Prince from the kingdom to the west? Learn more about Titania’s Cousin Quinn and Prince Holden in the coming weeks.

“Tricia Copeland crafted an awesome fantasy novel! I didn’t want to put it down, and I didn’t want it to end. … I love the world building in this book. I was whisked away to a magical land. The descriptions are just right. Enough to give me a clear picture without long, drawn out descriptions. That’s how a fantasy novel stays fast paced! … To Be A Fae Queen is an excellent novel. 5* To be a Fae Queen – Vanessa Dodd, Goodreads

What a book! I had to force myself to put it down and go about my life! I’m not usually a huge fan of epic fantasies but I must say, I’m so pleased that this is the first book of a series cause I don’t want it to end.

The book is packed full of action from all the trials Titania has to go through when her place on the throne is challenged to leading an army to battle to fight evil!

If you’ve read the Kingdom Journals series you might even get a lovely surprise half way through the book. I certainly didn’t see that coming!

The beauty in Tricia’s writing is her ability to take you to the most magical place. She keeps things simple yet every scene, every character and their surroundings are so well described, you can picture them perfectly in your head.

I can’t wait for the second book which I will purchase as soon as it’s available. Tricia Copeland did it again! ❤️

Based on a young female Fae in a long line of Monarchs this book took me by surprise. I found myself getting lost in the details of the Fae world and its many realms had me lost for hours. Not only does Tricia Copland paint us the perfect picture she also gives us fantastic Character descriptions. To be a Fae Queen really has it all, action packed trials and battles, young love, friendship, and of course magic. Since I didn’t want to put this book down.
